One more Healthy juice to beat the summer heat. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”, is true in case of all types of apples, yellow, green, red, etc. A persons should add Apples to their daily diet as it contains a lot of essential nutrients and vitamins and is in overall good for health. I will not run into the details of the benefits of green apple as I am sure all of you know about it. The green apples are a bit sour and sweet to taste. So some children and elders are hesitant in eating it raw as it is not to their liking. So the other best way of having green apples are by making a juice out of it and consuming it. However the juice is best to be had within one hour of making it so that it does not loose its health benefits or starts turning rancid.
Method of Preparation : Wash, wipe with a clean towel and chop into pieces 2 green apples. Put the chopped apples in blender add 4-5 whole cardamoms, ½ cup of sugar and make into a smooth paste by adding water if necessary. The paste should be as smooth as possible.
Add 2 cups of water to the paste and blend for another 2-3 minutes, remove and strain through fine sieve. Put the juice in fridge for 2-3 hours and serve chilled.
