Lemon Rice and Curry Leaves Chutney Rice.


LEMON RICE AND CURRY LEAVES CHUTNEY RICE 




Wash and cook 2 cups of rice in plenty of water till 90% done. Drain water completely. 


Spread on plate and cool it completely. 



Heat 2-3 tblsp of oil in a kadai add ½ tsp of urad dal when they turn into light colour add, 1 tsp of rai (sasam) when they splutter, add 3-4 red chillies chopped to pieces, 8-10 curry leaves, ½ tsp haldi powder, 1 tsp of hing powder, ½ cup of oven roasted peanuts & mix well, add ¼ cup of freshly grated coconut and mix well. 


Remove from fire, cool a bit add in the cooled rice, salt, 1 lemon squeezed and mix well till all the rice is evenly coated. 


Serve immediately with any chutney/curry of your choice or just as it is, it tastes awesome.


For Curry Leaves Chutney rice. : Just take a cup or two of the prepared above rice & mix in 3-4 tblsp of Curry Leaves Chutney (Karbeva Chutney) to it & mix well.


Curry leaves chutney rice is ready. Try it, serve it with curd salad it tastes really good.
