Spicy Tomato Chicken Curry.


Marinate 4-5 Chicken drumsticks with 4tblsp of curd, salt to taste, ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp red chilly powder for 30 minutes. 


Heat ½ cup oil add ½ tsp of red chilly powder and one big onion chopped fine, fry till onion become slightly brownish. Add 8-10 curry leaves, then add in the ginger-garlic-onion-red chilly masala paste and fry well till the oil oozes out. 

Add ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp jeera powder, ¼ tsp fennel powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and fry for another few minutes. Now add 2 tomatoes ground to paste, mix well add in one cup of water and bring to a boil. Add the marinated chicken along with the curds etc. mix well, cover and cook on slow till chicken is cooked. Add 1 cup of finely chopped coriander leaves and 2 tblsp of coconut milk, bring to a boil Remove and serve hot with pulav/roti/dosa.


For the ginger-garlic-onion-R.chilly paste : Grind to a fine paste 2 inch piece of ginger, 15-20 grarlic clove (skinned), 1 small onion, 8-10 Red Kashmiri Chillies.

Note : This is a Spicy curry, you may make changes in the no. of chillies as per your liking.
