Cucumber~Coriander~Curd~Coolant.


"Cucumber~Coriander~Curd~Coolant" .... A delicious coolant that tastes awesome when the heat levels are high and body needs to get relished with something cool that is nutritious too ... Try this coolant ... tastes awesome ....

** Mumbai heat is always unbearable and drains the energy out specially if you are out in the sunlight or are working round the clock. Cucumbers are available in plenty all round the year and have immense cooling properties. Curds are good for the tummy and are high in protein too. Addition of hing remove gas properties in the drink and releases the same from the body too as it is good for digestion. In all this is a very delicious and nutritious coolant often prepared in my home when its hot out there. A simple recipe with ingredients available readily in the kitchen, so go ahead and try this one out today. 

** Here is the method of preparing "Cucumber~Coriander~Curd~Coolant" .... My Style ....


** Grind to a fine paste the following ingredients: One medium sized dark green skin cucumber (with skin), 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves picked and cleaned, 1-2 green chillies, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp hing (asafoetida) powder, 2-3 fresh curry leaves, small piece of fresh ginger and one full cup of curds (made out of skimmed milk).

** The paste should be ground to very smooth consistency, you can add in some chilled water if required while grinding. Sieve it through a sieve if required (optional) or you may retain it as it is depending upon your taste. Remove and put it in a bowl and add in 2 cups of chilled water, Kala namak to taste or ordinary salt to taste and mix well. Check in the consistency and add more water if necessary. 


**  "Cucumber~Coriander~Curd~Coolant" is done and ready to be served. Pour the coolant in tall glasses with a few slices of cucumber or some grated cucumber and topped with a dash chaat masala for taste. Serve this chilled to your family and friends when the heat levels in your city rises and it is necessary to have some chilled drink. This is a nutritious and low calorie drink that can be enjoyed freely without any guilt.
